SplitEx ("we," "our," or "the App") is developed by Prellio. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our group expense tracking services.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our services, we collect the following types of information:
Account Information: When you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture URL to create your account.
Financial Tracking Data: We store the expense descriptions, amounts, dates, and group memberships you create. This includes data about who paid and how expenses are split.
Media: If you choose to upload receipt photos, these are stored in our secure object storage.
Device Information: We may collect device identifiers and push notification tokens to send you alerts about group activity.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:
To synchronize your expenses across all your devices.
To calculate accurate balances and suggest "settle-up" payments between group members.
To send notifications when a group member adds an expense or records a payment.
To provide customer support and troubleshoot technical issues.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard infrastructure:
Database: We use Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure only you and your group members can access your specific trip data.
Offline Sync: We use PowerSync to maintain a secure local encrypted copy of your data on your device for offline use.
Encryption: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
4. Third-Party Services
We partner with the following providers to deliver the App's functionality:
Supabase / Google Cloud: For data hosting and authentication.
Firebase: For delivering push notifications to your mobile device.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data:
Access & Update: You can edit your profile and expenses directly within the App.
Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time via the Settings menu in the App. This will permanently remove your personal profile and un-link your identity from shared group data.
6. Children's Privacy
SplitEx is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
